Based on Mary Norton’s popular story, Arrietty follows a family of Borrowers – tiny people who use human neighbours’ everyday objects fort their own purposes When one of the Borrowers, Arrietty, is discovered by a human boy, a new friendship blossoms, threatening their peaceful existence. Studio Ghibli’s exquisite animation and lively score combine to create an exciting, fantastical backdrop for this classic story which stars Olivia Colman, Tom Holland, Saoirse Ronan, and Mark Strong.
Arrietty has a U rating and is generally recommended for all ages, with only some small moments which may be challenging for younger viewers. These include a brief mention of illness, estranged family relations, and kidnapping.
