CAST presents an evening of live readings exploring the connections between writing and visual art. Reading at the event will be award-winning artist and poet Heather Phillipson, recently chosen for the Fourth Plinth commission in Trafalgar Square and author of three acclaimed poetry collections, poet Rachael Allen, whose first pamphlet is published by Faber & Faber, writer and critic Alice Hattrick, who is working on a book about art and illness, and artist Angharad Williams.
This evening at CAST has been programmed by writer and art critic Patrick Langley. Patrick was awarded the West Cornwall Residency in 2017 as part of the Art Writing Programme.
The public programme at CAST is supported by Arts Council England, as part of Groundwork 2016-18, which has been awarded Ambition for Excellence funding. Ambition for Excellence is a new programme aimed at stimulating and supporting ambition, talent and excellence across the arts sector in England. The fund aims to have significant impact on the growth of an ambitious international-facing arts infrastructure, especially outside London.
