A looped presentation of moving image works by participants from Mark Leckey’s recent Music & Video Lab.
Throughout the month of June, Auction House in Redruth provided a space for a group of 18 to 25 year-olds, selected from an open call, to explore video editing, music production and digital media. The project was led by Turner Prize-winning artist Mark Leckey and artist/musician Liam Jolly, supported by Stuart Blackmore. There were also sessions with guest musicians Gazelle Twin, Patten, Lee Gamble and The Worm.
The Lab provided opportunities to experiment with a range of specialist equipment and develop new skills. As a result, each participant produced a new piece of work. The participants were Joseph Blackman, Kieran Bland, Phoebe Bray, Chloe Eathorne, Sennen Fardel, Cassius Nice-Garside, Jake Purkiss, Katie Platts, Toby Sadgrove, Kittie Maplestone and Freddie Thorp.
The project was made possible by National Lottery funding awarded to CAST by Arts Council England for a programme of talent development initiatives.
