This Studio Ghibli classic tells the story of two young girls and their magical adventures. Satsuki and Mei move to a house in the countryside with their father to be closer to their mother, currently in a nearby hospital. Upon arrival they find the house to be inhabited by small, dust-like spirits. Although these leave once the family settles in, the girls soon discover a wondrous world of spirits living in the woods nearby. One of these spirits is Totoro, a gentle giant with a very big roar, who the girls befriend.
