BBC Radio 3 presenter Petroc Trelawny grew up on the Lizard peninsula and attended Helston School in the 1980s. His best-selling debut book Trelawny’s Cornwall: A Journey Through Western Lands is part personal memoir and part history, told through visits to industrial and cultural sites across the Duchy. Amongst other subjects, the book explores the collapse of Methodism, the decline of the Cornish language, and Cornwall’s complex relationship with tourism.
Petroc will be in conversation with CAST’s executive chair Teresa Gleadowe. The Bookshop in Helston will be at CAST with books for sale and there will be an opportunity to have copies signed.
