Reading in Place, a walk led by Bronwen Buckeridge, 2023.

Artist Bronwen Buckeridge will lead a walk along the coast with readings from a variety of literary and historical sources.

The walk will involve rough terrain and there are several stiles along the route. Participants should wear suitable footwear and clothing. Please bring a waterproof or similar for sitting on the ground. We won’t be put off by a bit of drizzle, but in the event of extreme rain or wind the walk may be rescheduled or cancelled. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Meet at Rinsey car park.

Bronwen Buckeridge is a CAST studio artist and Falmouth University lecturer. She works with field recording, performative events, installation and text. Recent projects include a live pigeon race, a crochet machine directed by birds and an earthwork made with the assistance of witches.

This activity is part of Golden October, a weekend of creativity celebrating the renewal of CAST’s roofs. This significant programme of work, along with many of CAST’s learning activities during 2023 and 2024, has been made possible by funding by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Some renovations will continue through the winter months, but, at this important milestone, we want to invite the whole community to celebrate and enjoy the fruits of the investment in this special heritage building – a place for art, culture and learning that is open to all.
