Professor Anita Taylor is Director of the Jerwood Drawing Prize. She is Dean of Bath School of Art and Design at Bath Spa University and an artist. In a presentation entitled The Insistence of Drawing, she will discuss the role and systems of drawing, reflecting on current drawing practice through the lens of the Jerwood Drawing Prize project and other initiatives.
The talk has been organised by Bath School of Art and Design who have taken a studio in the CAST building in Helston, to act as a base for student and staff visits and residencies.
Professor Taylor was formerly Director of the National Art School in Sydney; Director of The Centre for Drawing at the University of the Arts London; Dean and Head of College at Wimbledon College of Art, UAL; and Vice Principal of Wimbledon School of Art.
