For me it all started as a small child, watching The Wizard of Oz religiously on a recorded VHS at my Grandma’s house. I was terrified of the witch, but I was obsessed. Then, as I began reaching for my independence, I too dreamed of a better life somewhere over the… Tamar. Rewatching it now, I’ve had the joyful realisation that the film resonates in more ways than ever.

This iconic 1939 film will be introduced by Hannah Stephens, who is an actor, theatre maker and creative facilitator. She is one third of Trifle Gathering Productions, the front woman of punk band Shagrat, and an associate director of Miracle Theatre, specialising in youth and community. She is passionate about the arts as a powerful tool for social change. Hannah is also a Falmouth Town Councillor and sits on the board of Falmouth and Penryn Welcome Refugees.
