Bronwen Buckeridge at Kennack Sands

In October 2022, members of the Saturday Art Club visited Kennack Sands for a special workshop devised and led by artist and CAST studio holder Bronwen Buckeridge. Supported by Natural England as part of their National Nature Reserves Festival, the session focused on listening and recording, with activities involving simple non-digital tools including cardboard ear trumpets, balloons and funnels, tins and string, pencil and paper. Sounds recorded on site as drawn notations became a kind of ‘score’ that was performed back at CAST with materials found in the nature reserve at Kennack Sands.
