Learning
Offered in the context of a programme of international contemporary art, CAST’s learning activities range from opportunities for young people to engage directly with artists through talks, screenings, workshops and studio visits, to Art Lab sessions for primary schools, free holiday workshops, and a regular Saturday Art Club for young people aged eleven to sixteen. We also offer online learning resources for children and families, which can be accessed here.
CAST-Off
A summer holiday programme of creative artist-led activities for families, CAST-Off takes place off-site and out of doors, encouraging children to explore and enjoy the natural world.
Schools Programme
CAST provides ambitious creative learning workshops for primary schools – a programme of half-day or full-day ‘Arts Lab’ workshops – all of which involve active learning across a range of disciplines, as well as hands-on activity.
Think and Make
CAST's free programme of workshops encourages children and families to think and make together.
Saturday Art Club
CAST’s Saturday Art Club offers young people aged between eleven and sixteen the opportunity to take part in creative activities in an engaging and supportive environment.
Young People
CAST is committed to providing opportunities for young people to experience art and culture. We work with local educational organisations including Helston Community College, Mullion School, Cornwall College, Truro College and Falmouth University.
Gabbroic Pottery
After running a series of schools workshops about gabbroic pottery, CAST has assembled a page of resources for those wishing to lead their own sessions.
