Offered in the context of a programme of international contemporary art, CAST’s learning activities range from opportunities for young people to engage directly with artists through talks, screenings, workshops and studio visits, to ‘Art Lab’ sessions for primary schools, and free holiday workshops. We also offer online learning resources for children and families, which can be accessed here.

The learning programme attracts support from local and national funding bodies and most events and activities are free. The Garcia Family Foundation generously supports activities for primary-school-aged children.

The CAST-Off programme initiated in 2020 has also received assistance from Arts Council England, Cornwall Heritage Trust, Feast and Little Parc Owles Trust.

From April 2023 to March 2025 CAST’s learning programmes will also receive support from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
